About our Pastor
I joined the Winton Road Church of Christ, where I was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost; and Within a year I was appointment as a Deacon and in1994 I was called to preach the gospel. One Saturday morning I was in my den praying, when, a man riding a white ho se appeared to me in a vision. This man was carrying a lantern and he appear he was on the top of a large mountain. He spoke these words “Take this light into dark places.” He then began to descend into the Valley. Soon, he disappeared, but the light that he was carrying remain visible.
God then spoke to me in an audible voice that was very clear. “Get up and go to a place that I have appointed for you.”, I was living in Columbus, Georgia. Shortly after that I was led to a street in down town Columbus. I got out of my car, and as I stood there dazed and confused, a woman’s voice called out to me. She told me, that they had been waiting for me. As she turned to enter the house she motioned for me to follow her. Once inside she made a very loud announcement, “The preacher is here.” Some eight-people gathered in a small room. I opened my Bible to John 3:16, and preach my initial sermon. My congregation was a small group of homeless men and women.
The following week, I visited a local shelter, The House of Mercy. I was given a very warm welcome, and asked if I would preach the following Tuesday. I did preach that following Tuesday, and every Tuesday for the following 5 years. I joined a traveling Prayer Band, this was a small group of saints who would go into home save and un-save to pray, praise and worship God. In 1996, I put together a small group of Christian brothers, who was willing to take part in a street ministry, a Nursing Home Ministry and a jail Ministry. We did door to door witnessing, and home Bible studies. I have served as a volunteer Chaplain for youth detention centers in Columbus Georgia and, Rapid City, South Dakota. In 1998, I joined the African Methodist Episcopal church and after completed my training in 2002, and pastor for next seven years. And 2007 we moved, Box Elder, SD and in 2008 this great church Light House Outreach Ministry, was birthed. And 2013 we moved to Colorado Springs, where the lighthouse Outreach Ministry continue to minister to edify the saint, and to minister to the lost by preaching, teaching, and serving God’s people.
